Bangladesh reports 18 new coronavirus cases in 24hrs

Health Minister Zahid Maleque on Sunday informed that 18 more people were diagnosed with COVID-19 during the last 24 hours, raising the total number to 88.“Eighteen more people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24hours,” he informed this in an online briefing.
Bangladesh on Saturday reported nine new coronavirus cases and two new deaths.
Traces of community transmission are being found on a limited scale, said Dr Abul Kalam Azad, director, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Saturday.
The global death toll from novel coronavirus (COVID-19) reached 64,716 as of Sunday.
The virus, first reported in China, has so far infected 1,201,933 people around the world, according to worldometer.
Of the infected, 890,583 are currently being treated while 42,290 of them are in serious or critical condition.
So far, 246,634 of those infected have recovered, reports UNB.
