Deaths from Covid-19 disease reached 3,694 in Bangladesh on Monday as health authorities reported 37 more deaths in the last 24 hours across the country.
Meanwhile, another 2,595 Covid-19 cases were detected during the same period which increased the number of total cases in the country to 2,79,144 on the 24th week of infection.
With 12,523 new tests during the period, so far 13,64189 samples have been tested in Bangladesh and 20.46 percent of them have turned out to be positive.
The daily infection rate was recorded 20.72 percent Monday.The total number of recoveries on Monday reached 1,60,591 as 1,641 former patients were cured in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate is now 57.53 percent, said a press release from Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
