Bangladesh U-16 women booters make practice in Myanmar

Dhaka – Bangladesh U-16 Women’s Football team, now in Myanmar, to compete in the Qualifying Round-2 of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championships, made their official training session at the match venue — Mandalar Thiri Stadium – on Monday afternoon ahead of their first match against the Philippines on Wednesday.
The Group B match venue of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship in Mandalay is a very prominent with plenty of history and the playing surface of the stadium is of a generous size that will suit Bangladesh’s exciting attacking style.  Bangladesh have been placed in Group B of the Asian Junior Women’s meet with China, the Philippines and hosts Myanmar. They will play hosts Myanmar on March 1 and China on March 3 in the remaining group matches, all at the Mandalar Thiri Stadium in Mandalay.
Bangladesh team started their day’s practice session with a comprehensive run through their set plays.All Bangladeshi players used the new technological GPS pods and vests to monitor the player intensity levels and physical outputs.

Head Coach of Bangladesh Golam Rabbani Choton praised the playing surface of the stadium. Bangladesh’s talented central defender cum vice-captain Akhi Khatun said they are also excited to play the match in such a stadium and getting ready to perform, said a BFF media release on Monday,   A match co-ordination meeting (MCM) with the participation of the all four teams of group B will be held on Tuesday afternoon with the AFC Match Commissioner from IR Iran and Vietnam.

After the meeting, a pre-match press conference will be held where head coaches of all the four participating teams will be present.
