Dhaka — Bangladesh national women team is all set to fly for the Netherlands on Thursday to conduct a practice camp before their assault in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2019 in Scotland. Bangladesh team will fly from Shahjalal International Airport at 10:10am (BdST).After a 10-day practice camp in the Netherlands, Bangladesh team will move to Scotland and take on Papua New Guinea on the opening day of the tournament on August 31.
The league-cum-knockout tournament will decide the two qualifiers for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia.
A total of eight teams will fight in the Qualifier along with Bangladesh and the hosts Scotland. The winners of the two semi-finals will book a place in the main event in Australia next year.
Bangladesh will play in Group A along with Papua New Guinea, Scotland and USA while Group B consists of Ireland, Thailand, Namibia, and the Netherlands.
