Bank Asia emerged champions in the Teletalk 3G Corporate Free Hit Indoor Cricket Tournament beating SQ Sports in the keenly contested final held on Friday at the Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium, Mirpur in the city.Batting first, Bank Asia scored 154 runs for 5 wickets in 8 overs.
In reply, SQ Group made 154 runs for 7 wickets in 7.3 overs.
Later, by the rules of Free Hit, Bank Asia won the championship by five runs.
Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan, MP, was the chief guest in the final and distributed the prizes.
Earlier, on way to the final, Bank Asia beat Ejab Group by 81 runs in the first semifinal while SQ Sports defeated Max Group by 7 wickets in the second semi-final.
