The Baridhara Society of Gulshan organised traditional ‘Pitha Utshob-2016’ (cake festival) and colorful cultural program at the Baridhara Park, Park Road at 6.30pm on Saturday. The programme lasted till late night.
Green grass and seasonal flowers matched with the presence of all members of the Baridhra Society, renowned persons, artistes. The President of Baridhara Society Badiur Rahman former secretary to the government and Khaiul Alam, Treasurer Cordially two major, Mohd. Anisul Haque (Dhaka City Corporation North) and Sayed Khokon (Dhaka City Corporation South) spent their pleasant time at the traditinal ‘Pitha Utshob’. All the members, guests and their children were entertained with various kinds of traditional Pithas (Cakes) including Pati-sapta, Bhapa Pitha, Chitoi, Nunruti, Jilipai, Tea, Coffee and other delicious food items.
Mahbubur Rahman, managing director of Dhaka Bank sponsored the Pitah Utshob-2016 and donate 25,00,000/- (twenty five lac) on the occasion.
In addition Hyundai Motors, Sajeeb Group, Building Technology and Ideas Ltd. (BTI), Joytun Developers Ltd, Ascott Group, Mrs. Khurshida Ahmed (Poly) and Mrs. Afroza Islam Chowdhury also sponsored on the program.
Badiur Rahman, president of the Baridhara Society launched the Baridhara Society Magazine for the first time, which is published every 3 months and edited by Sayed Al Faruque, vice president of Baridhara Society.
