Dawn of Justice: Let the rivalry begin!
With Star Wars and Deadpool off the list, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is undoubtedly the most anticipated movie of the year. And it’s up to Warner Bros. to not disappoint the hundreds of millions of fans eagerly awaiting the movie. This movie will have arguably, the greatest fantasy match up of two of the greatest heroes of the DC Universe. Here are ten fun facts you might not have known about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The reason for Batman taking on Superman is because Bruce Wayne is concerned of what will happen if Superman decides to use his powers for evil, after the events of Man of Steel (2013) where a Wayne Financial building is destroyed.
In this movie, Batman will fight Superman before the League is even formed, whereas in the comic book series, they fight after Justice League is disassembled.
The story is based on a famous comic book, written by Frank Miller, who also wrote the story for The Dark Knight Returns animated movies, and also worked on Batman Begins and 300.
This film will be in 3D and will feature not only Batman, but Wonder Woman, Cyborg, for the first time together.
After a rough cut of the film was shown to the executives at Warner Bros, they were apparently so impressed that they not only gave the film a standing ovation but also began negotiating a deal with Affleck to have him make three solo Batman movies rather than the original plan to make only one.
Ben Affleck wanted to keep the Batsuit after the filming was complete, as he said in an interview. And although the producers agreed, they would only sell it at $100,000. Hearing this, Ben changed his mind to only taking a photo with the suit on.
We still need to wait to find out whether the film takes place in Gotham City or Metropolis. For now, we can confirm that it was shot primarily in Detroit, Michigan.
It’ll be Wonder Woman’s debut film. Despite being on soap operas and TV commercials, Wonder Woman has never appeared in a movie before.
Its been a few years since Marvel has combined a number of its characters and movies and opened up to the Marvel Universe, with this movie, DC will be opening up to it’s own universe.
This movie will contain a teaser for upcoming DC movies, Justice League – Part 1 & 2 and will feature Aquaman, Wonder Woman, including Batman and Superman.
The much awaited movie will be released in Bangladesh along with the rest of the world on Friday, March 25, 2016 in Bashundhara City Star Cineplex.
