BAU observes Mymensingh free day

Mymensingh, Dec 10 – The Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) held a victory rally on the university campus in Mymensingh on Sunday marking Mymensingh Free Day. To mark the day, BAU vice-chancellor Prof Dr Lutful Hassan inaugurated the victory procession which was brought out from in front of the administration building and paraded the main streets of the university before ending at ‘Moron Sagor’, a liberation war monument.
The programme was arranged by the National Day Observance Committee of BAU.
Later, the vice-chancellor placed floral wreaths at the monument along with Pro-VC Prof Dr Md
Jasimuddin Khan, university teachers, students, officers and members of different socio-cultural
organizations.
On the occasion, they remembered the freedom fighters of BAU as well as those of the country who sacrificed their lives for the independence and sovereignty of the country.
Mymensingh was freed on December 10 in 1971 from Pakistan occupation army. – BAU Correspondent
