BBF provides cash assistance to 100 basketball players

DHAKA – Considering the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) come forward to help their 100 less earning players of different District Sports Association (DSA) across the country.

“Yes, we’ve started to send money of Taka 3,000 to each basketball players through their bKash account and the process will continue before the Eid-ul-Azha,” said Lieutenant General (retd.) AK Sarkar, general secretary of BBF, while talking to BSS today.

The players, who have no bKash account, their money will be sent to their respective DSA address so that the players can collect it from there, Sarkar added.

Despite the financial restriction, the BBF have decided to provide the cash assistance to the less earning 100 basketball players, most of them are district-level rising players, of different DSAs across the country.

Earlier, the State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell provided Taka 10 thousand to 10 basketball players as cash assistance.BSS
