BCB Director Nazmul Karim Tinku dies

Dhaka– Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Chairman of BCB Umpires Committee Nazmul Karim Tinku passed away on Tuesday afternoon at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on the way to Singapore for treatment.He was 56Tinku, President of Kalabagan Thana unit of Awami League, and general secretary of Kalabagan KC, suddenly fell sick two days back and was admitted to Square Hospital in the city.Later, the family members of Tinku decided to take him to Singapore for better treatment as his conditions were deteriorating gradually.However, Tinku breathed his last at around 3 pm at the airport compound on way to Singapore.His namaz-e-janaza will held at 10 am on Wednesday at BCB national cricket academy ground in Mirpur.Meanwhile, BCB postponed all the matches scheduled for Wednesday and decided to hoist the BCB flag half mast.Bangladesh Sports Journalists’ Association, in a message, expressed deep shock at the death of Tinku.UNB news agency
