BCB refuses to accept Sri Lanka’s terms and conditions

DHAKA —The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) made it clear that the Sri Lanka tour is not possible with the terms and conditions given by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).

The board already let the SLC know their decision and hopes that they would get the reply very soon.

The Sri Lanka made it mandatory that the visiting team would have to stay quarantine for 14 days and during this period they would have to strictly confine them into the hotel room.

The BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon said that this condition is not possible to accept because this sort of term and condition is rare in other countries where cricket made a comeback.

“This sort of term and condition are rare in cricket history. We have talked to other boards which started cricket in their country. Even they didn’t give such sort of terms and conditions. Every country made it mandatory a 7-day quarantine and during the quarantine period visiting teams are allowed to practice which SLC doesn’t want,” Hassan said here today.

“So it is not possible to accept the terms and conditions and we let it know to them. We are expecting quick reply after which we will take final decision,” he added.BSS
