BCL Football: Farashganj off to good start beating Dhaka City 1-0

Dhaka – Farashganj Sporting Club made a good start in the Bangladesh Championship League (BCL) Football beating Dhaka City FC Limited by a solitary goal in the opening match at the Bir Shreshtho Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Sunday.

Senior Vice-president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP, inaugurated the league at a simple ceremony in the afternoon.

Arif Miah scored the match winner for the old Dhaka outfit in the 89th minute.

On Monday, Victoria Sporting Club will face Wari Club at 1:15 pm while Fakirerpool
Youngmen’s Club will meet Swadhinata KC at 3:15 pm in the day’s other fixture.

In the other first round matches on Tuesday, T&T Club, Motijheel will encounter Agrani Bank SC at 1:15 pm while Uttara Baridhara Club will play Soccer Club, Feni at 3:15 pm.

The 2nd round matches will begin on February 14 at the same venue.UNB
