Dhaka – Bangladesh Hockey Federation on Wednesday announced an 18-member final squad of the Bangladesh National Hockey team to play in the round-2 matches of Hockey World League billed for March 4-12 at Maulana Bhashani National Stadium in Dhaka. Host Bangladesh has been placed in Pool A with Oman, Fiji and Malaysia while Pool B team consisted of China, Sri Lanka, Ghana and Egypt.Bangladesh will start their Hockey World League campaign in Malaysia at 4 pm on Saturday.In the remaining Pool A matches, Bangladesh will play fiji on Sunday (March 5) and Oman on Tuesday (Mar 7), both at 4pm at the same venue.Meanwhile, Bangladesh beat Ghana by 1-0 goal in their 3rd practice match here on Wednesday.Mamunur Rahman Chayan scored the match-winner for Bangladesh in the 11th minute from a penalty corner.Bangladesh Squad: Ashim Gope, Zahid Hossain, Mamunur Rahman Chayan, Khorshedur Rahman, Ashraful Islam, Setul, Rezaul Karim Babu.
