Dhaka- Bangladesh Under-16 Women’s Team are set to leave Dhaka for Seoul, South Korea tonight (Sunday night) on a 10-day tour to receive training and play friendly matches.The female booters will leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:55 pm.In South Korea, the U-16 girls will participate in training camps and play a few friendly matches on July 10-20 as part of their preparations for the AFC U-16 Championship.During the tour, they will play friendly matches against South Korea Under-16 team, two local school teams and a women’s football club.After completing their South Korea mission, the Bangladeshi girls will tour Vietnam in the last week of August before playing in the main phase of the AFC U-16 Championships which is scheduled to be held in Thailand on September 10-23.Three top teams of the AFC U-16 Championship will qualify for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay 2018 to represent Asia.Earlier, Bangladesh U-16 Women’s Team visited Japan twice and Singapore and China once each this year to enhance their strength before the AFC U-16 event.UNB news agency
