BD U-19 team lead by 137-run against Sri Lanka U-19 side

Dhaka – Hosts Bangladesh Under-19 Cricket team are leading by 137 runs with 2 wickets remaining against Sri Lanka Under-19 team on the 2ndday of the 2nd four-day Youth Test at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna on Sunday.

Bangladesh team resumed their first innings on Sunday with overnight total of 71 for 2 and finally scored 321 for 8 in 112 overs when bails were drawn for the 2ndday, riding on a 135-run 3rd wicket stand by opener PrantikNawrose Nabil and AlviHoque.

Prantik, who was unbeaten on 28 runs, smashed 98 off 181 balls, hitting 15 fours while Alvi Hoque, who resumed batting with 8 runs, scored 72 off 226 balls,featuring two fours and one six.

Among other Shahadat Hossain contributed 50, captain Amite Hasan 18 and Meharab Hasan not out 15.

  1. Wickramasinghe, Dulith Wellalage and Nipun Perera took two wickets each conceding 19, 59 and 23 runs respectively.

Earlier, Sri Lanka were all out for 184 in 54.3 overs in the first innings, riding on 73 runs by opener KushanWickramasinghe and 47 runs by Kavishka Lakshan.
