Bangladesh gave a dull show on the 2nd day of the 4th Asian Beach Games at different venues in Thai tourists city of Phuket on Saturday.In men’s Beach Basketball, Bangladesh lost to Qatar by 9-21 points in their first match at the Karon Beach (North) with Mithun making 6 and Soyab two points.In the day’s 2nd match at the same venue, Bangladesh beat the Maldives by 20-10 points with Mithun making 16, Tareq 3 and Soyab one point.In men’s 5-kilometer marathon swimming, the lone Bangladesh competitor Mahmudun Nabi Nahid finished 15th among 16 participants with a timing of 1:18.09 in Karon Beach (North). Vitali Khudyakov of Kazakisthan finished top clocking 58.39.5.In men’s under 70 kg freestyle wrestling, Bangladesh wrestler Mohammad Dipu was eliminated after loosing all three Group B matches of the day at Patong Beach (North) Saturday afternoon.Dipu lost to Mongolian wrestler Tsengelbayar in the first match and conceded defeats against Muhammad Naderi of Iran and Seongun Park of South Korea in other matches of the day.
