Feni, Sept 26 (UNB)- Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Thursday recovered Tk 4 lakh in a sack and arrested a man from bordering village Baur Pathor in Parshuram upazila here.
The arrestee was identified as Ratan Chandra Sarkar, 55, son of Shatish Chandra Sarkar of the area.
Parshuram BGB Camp Havildar Md Rafiqul Islam said a team of BGB members arrested Ratan on Thursday morning while he was smuggling currency to India.
He had been engaged in such illegal money transfers working as an agent for a man from Feni for the last ten days, said Md Rafiqul.
