Bhopal Int’l Chess: CM Subrota shares 3rd slot with 32 players

Dhaka – Bangladeshi Candidate Master (CM) Subrota Biswas of Uttara Central Chess Club shared the 3rd slot with 32 other players in the Bhopal International Grandmasters Chess Tournament on Monday.He secured four points from five matches of the tournament being held in India’s Bhopal.CM Sohel Chowdhury of Titas Club and Mohammad Abzid Rahman of Janata Bank Officer Welfare Society earned 3.5 points each. Sazzad Kishor of Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club bagged 3 points and Nayem Haque of Mir Chess Club earned two points while Ahsan Ali Jewel managed 1.5 points.

In the day’s 5th round matches, CM Subrota beat India’s Deodhar Vrushalo Umesh, Abzid beat Roneet Das of India, CM Sohel drew with Shah Moxit of India, Sazzad drew with Bhardwaj Vedant of India, Nayem drew with Dugar Vhetan of India but Jewel lost to India’s Prerak Darvekar.UNB
