Bhutan Royal society for Nature mourns Dr Azharul Haq

Royal Society for Protection of Nature of Bhutan is deeply saddened by the demise of
Dr. Khondaker Azharul Haq, the Chairperson of Global Water Partnership South Asia Subcontinent. A thousand butter lamps were lit this morning at Changangkha Lhakhang in the name of the deceased. Dr. Khondaker Azharul Haq, Former President of BWP, former Managing Director of Dhaka WASA and Regional Chair of GWP-South Asia expired on Saturday, June 27 morning at around 10 am.
Renowned water specialist and engineer Khondaker Azharul Haq, passed away at the United Hospital Dhaka. He was Regional Chair of the South Asia Global Water Partnership and Former Managing Director Dhaka WASA. He was 75 years old and died of heart failure and other complications, said a BWP press release.
