A motorcyclist was killed and his two co-riders seriously injured when a truck crushed into their vehicle at Katakhali Bridge on the Dhaka-Rangpur Highway in Gobindaganj upazila on Wednesday night.The deceased was identified as Pichchi Milon, a Jubo League leader of the upazila.Jahidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Gobindaganj Police Station, said a speeding truck ran over the motorcycle carrying the trio from behind in the area at about 10:30 pm while they were going to Balua Bazar from Gobindaganj Bandar, leaving Milon dead on the spot and his two co-riders Mithu and Sabuj seriously injured.
The injured were admitted to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Gaibandha
