BNP leader Shamsuzzaman Dudu sued for threatening PM

Chattogram, Sept 19 (UNB) – A case was filed on Thursday against BNP Vice-Chairman Shamsuzzaman Dudu on charge of issuing death threat Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Nurul Alam, president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Rangunia Upazila unit, filed the case against Dudu with the court of Chattogram Judicial Magistrate Joyonti Rani Roy.

Plaintiff’s lawyer advocate Iftekhar Samiul Chowdhury said the court took the case against Dudu into cognisance and ordered the officer- in-charge of Rangunia police station to investigate the matter.

According to the case details, Shamsuzzaman Dudu openly issued death threat to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during a talk-show of a private television channel on Monday.
