BNP missed election train, says Nasim

Awami League presidium member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim has said that BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia missed the last election-train.
“Play was held on the ground but you couldn’t play. It’s your failure and that’s why you are coming up with irrelevant remarks. Inshallah! Play will be held again in the year 2019. Take preparations for that shunning the path of anarchy and don’t push the people in anxiety anymore,” he ramarked.Mohammad Nasim said this while speaking as the chief guest at the triennial council of Ullapara Upazila Awami League (AL) held at Abu Taher Hostel playground of Government Akbar Ali College in the upazila headquarters in the district on Thursday.
Ullapara AL president Meer Shahidul Islam Punnu chaired the council, also addressed, among others, by Prime Minister’s Political Adviser HT Imam and local AL leaders.
Mohammad Nasim said, “Prior to the January 5 polls, Khaleda Zia threw a challenge to Awami League that the polls would not be acceptable at home and abroad. But, her challenge was proved as a false. Following the polls, all the development activities of the Awami League-led government including distribution of text books and computers among students, ensuring health services, reduction in child and mothers’ mortality rate and uninterrupted power supply have been applauded at home and abroad.” – BSS
