Dhaka, Dec 20 – BNP on Thursday protested State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury’s comments against the father of its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the protest in a statement.
At a programme in Dinajpur on December 17, the state minister said Fakhrul was bringing allegation of harassing BNP through publishing the list of Razakars as his father Mirza Ruhul Amin was an infamous ‘Razakar’.
In the statement, Rizvi said Mirza Ruhul Amin was an honest, dedicated and popular leader of Thakurgaon. “The comment of the state minister against him is politically vindictive and devoid of political etiquette.” – UNB
