BNP worried over Fakhrul’s health

BNP is worried about the health condition of its acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, who has been ordered into jail after his surrender in cases of violence.Party spokesperson Asaduzzaman Ripon warned the government on Tuesday that the people would hold it responsible if Fakhrul’s condition deteriorated in jail.Earlier in the day, a court sent Fakhrul to jail by scrapping his bail plea when he surrendered following a Supreme Court order.A block has been found in the BNP leader’s carotid artery, but doctors in Singapore and the US did not conduct any surgery to remove it, considering his health condition.“We are worried about the risk to his health after the court sent him to jail by rejecting his bail plea,” Ripon said.He claimed Fakhrul has become senseless several times when he was jail earlier. He also said Fakhrul was scheduled to leave for Singapore for further treatment on Nov 24.
