Dhaka – The government has formed an eight-member committee for ground handling regulations for all airports in the country.
The committee, constituted with Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ziaul Haque as its convener, has been asked to co-opt representatives from the Law Ministry, National Board of Revenue (NBR), Civil Aviation Authority, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, private passenger and private cargo airlines within 14 working days.
The decision was taken on Sunday at a meeting held at the Secretariat chaired by Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon.
The regulations will be formulated under the recently passed Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority Act.
Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary SM Ghulam Farooque and additional secretary AHM Abul Hasnat were, among others, present. -UNB
