Dhaka – Akhter Group earned the rights to sponsor the Chittagong team in the 7th season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 Cricket to be known as Bangabandhu BPL this time marking the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The seven-team 7th edition of the BPL will kick-off December 11 while opening ceremony will take place on December 8 where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will present.
This year’s BPL will be run by BCB itself, so there will be no franchise this time.For the first time, Akhtar Group named as the proud sponsor of BPL team through Chittagong district.
Managing Director of Akhter Group KM Rifatuzzamam made the announcement at a press conference here on Wednesday, saying they are very proud and excited to be a part of the most exiting cricket event.
The organization is also working on developing a complete cricket team and Syed Yasir Alam has taken the responsibility as the COO of the team.UNB
