Dhaka – League leader Chittagong Abahani Limited further consolidated their top slot in the 10th Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football beating Rahmatganj MFS by 2-0 goals in the opening 5th round match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here Sunday afternoon.Tawhidul Alam Sabuj put Abahani ahead in the 43rd minute while captain Zahid Hossain widened the margin scoring one more goals for the last years runners up Chittagong Abahani in the 72nd minute from a penalty.With the day’s well merited victory, the sky-blue and yellow team from the port city of Chittagong, comfortably dominated the league table with all win record securing full 15 points from straight five wins.Old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj MFS went down to 5th slot collecting seven points from five encounters with two wins, one draw and two loss .Ctg Abahani took the lead as their forward Sabuz fired the net flicking the ball from the top of the six-yard box, off a right wing pass from Zahid (1-0) Rahamatganj defender Kazi Shariful Islam Sajib made a hand ball in the danger zone when he tried clear a right footer attempt of Zahid Hossain from right side of the box.Referee Jalaluddin pointed his finger for spot kick in favour of Ctg Abahani and Zahid Hossain did no mistake to convert a spot kick enabling his team for 5th consecutive victory in the league BPL points table after the opening 5th round match (tabulated under match played, win, draw, loss, goal for, goal against, goal difference and points)
