Dhaka- Saif Sporting Club started their 2nd phase matches of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football beating Rahmatganj MFS by 2-1 goals at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday.
Despite the day’s win, Saif SC remained at 4th place with 26 points from 13 games in the league while Rahmatganj MFS remained at the 9th spot with 12 points.
In the 12th minute, Colombian midfielder Deiner Andres Cordoba netted the first goal for Saif SC by a close range header from the goal mouth melee, off a corner from defender Yeasin Arafat (1-0).
Rahmatganj MFS got another blow as midfielder Jamal Bhuyan doubled the margin in the 14th minute (2-0).
In the second half, Rahmatganj MFS put pressure on Saif SC with their attacking football and bagged its fruits within the first ten minutes.
In the 55th minute, midfielder Md Enamul Islam, who replaced another midfielder Jamal Hossain in the 47th minute, netted the ball from a pass by Gambian forward Landing Darboe (2-1).
Despite dominating the rest of the game, the old Dhaka outfit failed to widen their margin.
