BPL: Muktijoddha beat Arambagh 2-0

Dhaka – Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra earned their 2nd successive victory in the 10th 1 (BPL) football beating pointless Arambagh Krira Sangha by 2-0 goals in their 3rd match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here Wednesday.
With this victory, Muktijoddha SKC collected six points from three matches with two wins and one defeat while Arambagh KS remained pointless with three successive losses.After a barren first half, Muktijoddha SKC took the lead in the 61st minute as their forward Amzad Ali opened the account by a header from the top of the six-yard box, off a left footer from defender Tanvir Rana from left flank (1-0).Arambagh conceded a same-side goal in the 90th minute enabling three freedom fighters Muktijoddha SKC to extend their winning margin (2-0).Aiming to substitute forward Shihab inside the box, Muktijoddha forward Motiur Rahman delivered a cross from left flank which fired the net while onrushing Arambagh midfielder Arafat Hossain tried to tackle the ball.Arambagh missed a lucrative chance to take the lead in the 33rd minute. Defender Rokey took a free kick to the goalmouth and forward Jewel tried to place the ball which was palmed away by Muktijoddha goalie Uttam Barua.
