Cancer diagnosis adopting advanced technologies stressed

Institute (AOI), Hyderabad in India, at a seminar today urged the physicians and intern doctors to ensure accurate diagnosis of cancer adopting advanced technologies for proper treatment.Rangpur Community Medical College (RCMC), a sister organisation of Rangpur Group, in association with AOI organised the event on ‘Surgical Medical Advances in Cancer Care’ at its compound with RCMC Principal Professor Dr Afroza Bulbul Akhter in the chair.
Vice-principal of RCMC Professor Dr MMA Wadud Mostafa and International Marketing Officer of AOI, Hyderabad, Manas Majumder as special guests attended the seminar moderated by Additional Director of Rangpur Group Mirajul Muhsin.
Seventy intern MBBS doctors of RCMC from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka and 30 specialist physicians of Rangpur Community Medical College and Hospital (RCMCH), other hospitals and clinics of the city participated.
In his presentation, Surgical Oncologist Dr Y Yugandar Reddy narrated latest technologies and techniques for taking care of cancer patients and put emphasis on leading systematic life, conducting regular physical exercise, changing food habits and many other ways to effectively prevent cancer.
Senior Consultant (Medical Oncology) Dr Sudha Sinha said in her presentation said the standard of cancer treatment have improved many times at this present era of modern medical science and accurate treatments can completely cure most of the cancer patients.
Later in a press conference, the oncologists suggested the participating intern doctors to acquire ample knowledge and continue to study during professional carriers to remain informed of latest information on medical sciences and technologies to serve the cancer and other patients properly.
Earlier, the oncologists provided cost-free treatments to over 200 cancer patients at a two-day ‘Free Cancer Consultancy Campaign’ jointly organised by Mahiganj Office of AOI in Rangpur and RCMCH here on Monday and Tuesday, reports BSS from Rangpur.
