Case filed against singer Nancy

A case was recently filed against popular Bangladeshi singer Nazmun Munira Nancy and her younger brother Shahriar Aman Sunny. Sunny’s wife Samiun Nahar Shanu filed the case with Netrakona Sadar police station under the Women and Child Repression Prevention Act on September 6.Nancy recently told several media outlets that whatever happened between her brother and his wife was their personal matter, and she did not understand how she and her husband were connected to all this as they do not even live under the same roof.
Police arrested Sunny from his home in Satpai, Netrakona Sadar upazila the next day.
Netrokona Sadar police station OC Mohammad Borhan Uddin Khan confirmed to matter, saying Shanu filed the case accusing her husband Sunny of attempting to murder her while demanding dowry money.
Nancy and her husband Najimuzzan Zayed was accused of provocation in the same case, the OC added.

Nancy also accused Shanu of being framed by his wife for personal gains and property, saying her brother did not commit such heinous act.
The singer said Shanu might have filed the false case in retaliation to her brother filing for divorce.
Nancy said the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act is for the protection of women and children in this country, but the case that was filed against her brother did not fall under the law.
She said she would prepare legally to fight the false accusations, reports internet.
