BSS reported: The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) early Tuesday arrested Ekushey Television Ltd (ETV) chairman Abdus Salam from in front of ETV office at Karwan Bazar in the capital.
“ETV chairman was arrested in connection with a case filed by one Kaniz Fatema under Pornography Control Act 2012. A case (No-14) was lodged on November 26, 2014 with Cantonment Police Station,” officer-in-charge (OC) Md Atiqul Haque of the police station said.ETV office source said plainclothes police picked up him while he was on the way to his house at about 3:30 am. Details could not be known immediately.
