To celebrate the month of victory, Channel i is going to organise the 6th ‘Channel i Band Fest 2019’ at its premises on today. Kicking off at 11 am, the day-long band festival will end at 5 pm. Anonna Ruma, director of the event, said that 18 popular Bangladeshi musical bands are going to take part at this years’ fest. The fest will be inaugurated by members of the board of directors from Channel i along with some legendary musicians.
The lineup of the bands features ‘Parthibo’, ‘Teerondaz’, ‘Black Moon’, ‘Metrical’, ‘Hoichoi’, ‘Joler Gaan’, ‘Vikings’, ‘Symphony’, ‘Mechanix’, ‘Arbovirus’, ‘Ark’, ‘Feedback’, ‘Obsecure’, ‘Warsite’, ‘Dhrubo Tara’, ‘LRB’, ‘Dalchhut’ and ‘Shironamhin’. As usual, the fest will be telecasted on Channel i and on the official Facebook page of Channel i.
Deceased legendary singer Ayub Bachchu in association with Channel i initiated the band fest in 2014. In remembrance of him, a band will be honoured with ‘Rupali Guitar’ crest, certificate and cash reward from next year’s band fest.
A press conference regarding the event was held at the office of Channel i on November 30. Shykh Seraj, director and head of News of Channel i; Sabbir Hasan Nasir, executive director of ‘Shawpno’; Subrata Ranjan Das, executive director of ‘ACI Motors’ and ‘Yamaha’; Billal Haque, chairman of ‘Nandan Group’; Tushar Bin Yunus, CEO of ‘Nandan Group’; Mirza Zannatul Ferdous Tithi from CMME and several band members were present at the press conference.
This year’s event is going to be hosted by Apu Mahfuz, Shafi Ahmed and Dilruba Sathi. Powered by ‘Nandan Group’, sponsors of the fest are ‘Shawpno’ and ‘Yamaha’.
