The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka on Thursday placed Chinese national Zou Jian Hui, 38, arrested on Wednesday on the charge of stealing money from an ATM booth using a fake ATM card, on remand for a day. Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) Md Alamgir Kabir Raja passed the order after Md Mahbubur Rahman, Officer in-Charge (Operation) of New Market Police Station, produced Zou to the court and seeking remand for seven days.
Earlier, on Wednesday some members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Zou Jian Hui on the charge of stealing money from a Prime Bank ATM booth at Elephant Road in the city using a fake ATM card on Wednesday morning. – Special Correspondent
