Chittagong Test: Rain disrupts start of day 4, hosts limping

Dhaka, Sept 8 — The play of day four of Chittagong Test between hosts Bangladesh and Afghanistan was delayed due to rain.The play of day four was scheduled to start at 9:30am as day three ended 20 minutes earlier due to bad light.
Afghanistan secured a lead of 374 runs at the end of day three.
They scored 342 in the first innings after winning the toss with Rahmat Shah hitting the maiden Test ton for them and Asghar Afghan scoring 92.
For Bangladesh, Taijul Islam bagged four wickets while Shakib Al Hasan and Nayeem Hasan took two each.
In reply, Bangladesh tumbled for 205 in their first innings. Mominul Haque hit a fifty but the other batsmen did not perform well.
For Afghanistan, their captain Rashid Khan bagged five wickets while Mohammad Nabi took three.
In their second innings, Afghanistan scored 237 for eight so far. For Bangladesh, Shakib bagged three wickets while Nayeem and Taijul scalped two wickets each. – UNB
