Dhaka – East Delta University played out a 1-1 draw with Chittagong Medical College in the opening match of the Dakhina-CJKS Inter-University Football Tournament that began on Monday at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong.Chittagong City Mayor AJM Nasiruddin inaugurated the tournament in the afternoon, organised by Chattagram Jila Krira Sangstha (CJKS).A total of 10 teams, split into three groups, are taking part in the meet.Participating teams are:Group A: East Delta University, Southern University, Intertnaional Islamic University and Chittagong Medical College.Group B: BGC Trust University Bangladesh, Chittagong University and MA & Shisu Medical College Chittagong.Group C: BGC Trust Medical College, Premier University and Univesity of Science & Technology.The champions will be awarded with prize money of Tk 30,000, runners-up team will be awarded Tk 20,000, highest scorer Tk 2,000, best player Tk 2,000 while the man of the match of each game will be awarded with a crest.UNB news agency
