Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni categorically said visiting US Congressional delegation thinks that Bangladesh should get duty free access of its products to US market.
The foreign minister also suggested Bangladesh to appoint lobbyists as they need support of more congressmen.
Dr Dipu Moni came up with the disclosure while talking to journalists at her secretariat office on Sunday.
Earlier she had a meeting with the delegation led by Jack Kingston at the state guesthouse Padma.
The visiting delegation recommended for appointing lobbyists to get Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) facility in the US markets.
The four-member Congressional delegation of the USA arrived here on Saturday night.
The delegation, Led by Representative Jack Kingston (Republican-Georgia) reached Dhaka at around 9:45pm.
The delegation includes Representative Ed Whitfield (Republican-Kentucky), Representative Scott Tipton (Republican-Colorado) and Representative Adam Schiff (Republican-California).
During their visit, the delegation is expected to call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and opposition Chairperson Khaleda Zia.banglanews24.com
