Cycling Federation President Shafiullah resigns

Dhaka  – President of Bangladesh Cycling Federation (BCF) Shafiullah Al Munir has resigned from the top seat of the federation due to illness and physical inability. He sent his resignation letter to the State Minister for Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russel, giving its copy to Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC), Secretary General of Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) and General Secretary of Bangladesh Cycling Federation.

In the resignation letter, he mentioned that at present he is sick and is not physically capable to serve the federation properly and so he resigned from the post of president.

Bangladesh Cycling Federation is running by ad-hoc committee for long, which was formed on February 15 in 2017.

It was also learnt that a new ad-hoc committee of 31 members will be formed very soon with former whip ASM Firoz MP as president and Abdul Kuddus Babul as general secretary.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cycling Federation has postponed the International Cycling meet in Dhaka recently due to corona virus threat.UNB
