‘Dairy Farming and Health Management’ workshop held at BAU

Mymensingh, Dec 21 – ‘The health status of a people is known from the health status of its livestock population. If it is not possible to produce good health of livestock, the people of our country will suffer from bad health. Livestock is the most important source of protein which plays a vital role to build an intelligent nation.’ veterinary science faculty dean Professor Dr Nazim Ahmad said in a daylong project training program titled ‘Dairy Farming and Health Management’ held at Microbiology and Hygiene Department Gallery of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) on Saturday.
The training program organized by the Department of Microbiology and Hygiene and financed by Krishi Gobeshona Foundation (KGF).
On the training program, Veterinary Science Faculty dean Professor Dr Nazim Ahmad addressed as chief guest while District Livestock Officer (DLO) Dr Sheikh Shahinul Islam addressed as the special guest. Principal investigator (PI) cum coordinator of the project Professor Dr SM Lutful Kabir presided over the program while research assistant Md Arif moderated the program.
25 dairy farmers of Mymensingh district participated in the training program. – BAU Correspondent
