Train communications of Chittagong with other parts of the country remained suspended as three bogies of a freight train derailed near Fouzdarhat Railway Station in the port city on Wednesday.East Zone Divisional Railway manager Murad Hossain said three bogies of the Chittagong port bound-goods train from Dhaka veered off the tracks in the area around 10.30am, halting train services on the Chittagong-Dhaka and Chittagong-Sylhet routes.No one was inured in the accident.On information, salvage trains reached the spot and started work to clear the tracks.Chandpur-bound ‘Meghna Express’ train could not leave Chittagong railway station while another train ‘Karnaphuli Express’ remained stranded near the station. -UNB, Chittagong
