Dhaka trader crushed under train wheels

Dhaka, Feb 3 (UNB): A trader was crushed to death by a train in Dhaka’s Jurain Rail Gate area on Wednesday.
The train hit 37-year-old Abul Hossain when he was crossing the rail tracks, leaving him critically injured.
The deceased was from Cumilla’s Meghna and had been living in Narayanganj’s Kachpur with his family.
Abul’s nephew Al-Amin said, “Someone called me up and told me that my uncle was run over by a running train near Jurain Rail Gate at 11:30am.”
The critically injured Abul was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to injuries at around 2pm, Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police camp, said.
“The 37-year-old trader’s body was sent to DMCH morgue for autopsy.”
