Dilkusha SC emerge unbeaten champions in 1st Div Hockey

Dhaka – Dilkusha Sporting Club clinched the Green Delta Insurance First Division Hockey League crown with all-win record beating Dhaka Hockey United by 4-3 goals in the last league match at the Maulana Bhashani National Stadium on Saturday.
As the first division champions, Dilkusha SC promoted to the Premier Division Hockey League.
President of the Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) and Chief of the Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshall Masihuzzaman Serniabat witnessed the day’s title deciding match as the chief guest.
BHF general secretary Abdus Sadek and league committee secretary M Yousuf Ali were also present on the occasion.
On completion of the league, Dilkusha SC topped the list securing full 30 points from straight 10 matches scoring 91 goals after conceding seven goals while Dhaka Hockey United finished runners-up with 25 points from 10 outings with one loss and a draw.
In the day’s match, Hridoy Sheikh, Pabon Malik, Milan Hossain and Zahidul Islam Rajon scored one goal each for Dilkusha SC while Arafat Hossain Pial, Imran Ahmed Sohel and Sajjat Hossain Sifat contributed one each for Dhaka Hockey United.
In the day’s other match, Shantinagar Club finished 10th in the eleven-team league beating all-losers Bornak Samaj by 5-1 goals at the same venue in the afternoon.
Akash contributed three, Hridoy and Limon scored one goal each for the winners while Abdullah Al Ayon scored the consolation goal for the losers.UNB
