DIMFF introducing Online Mobile Filmmaking Course

Introduction to Mobile Filmmaking, Filmmaking for Everyone is an online course organized by Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF) for the first time in its seven years of journey. The course will guide the new generation to express their ideas and creativity through mobile devices.
Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF) is an outreach program of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) department of ULAB, is conducting this e-learning course. This course is mainly designed for young school and college-going students to give them a complete understanding and first-hand experience on how to make films using smartphones. The focus of this programme is to empower young minds for innovative thinking and to encourage them on how to communicate their thoughts on a global platform through film.
This online course equally divides into eight weeks of lesson plans where teaching methods will be both Synchronous (Google Meet) and Asynchronous (Google Classroom). Students will learn how to tell visual stories, which include scripting, storyboard writing. They will also learn how to design pre-production for best outcome, production the shooting part, and post-production where they will edit their own films. As an outcome of these learnings, finally they will be able to submit their films to any film festival.
DIMFF is partnering with Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) and Aspire to Innovate in Bangladesh (a2i).
This eight-week long course is going to start from July 17, 2020. On September 11, 2020 the course certificate will be handed over to the participants upon their course completion and submission of one-minute mobile film to DIMFF.
Grade VI to XII Bangladeshi students are encouraged to apply for registration.
