A discussion meeting and a rally were held on the occasion of the
launching of Bangladesh Idol programme of SA TV in Chapainawabganj on
Friday.
The meeting was held at Chapainawabganj Press Club with the president
of the club Golam Mostofa Montu in the chair. Deputy Commissioner of
Chapainawabganj Sardar Sharafat Ali and Police Super Bashir Ahmed PPM
spoke in the function as chief guest and special guest respectively.
The speakers stressed on upholding the traditional culture of the
Bengalees through such programmes.
After the discussion meeting, a colourful procession paraded the main
roads of the town.
