Efficient entrepreneurs for accelerating economic uplift stressed

Leaders of Rangpur Chamber of Commerce of Industry (RCCI) and executives of private sector commercial banks have stressed for creating efficient entrepreneurs to flourish business for accelerating socioeconomic uplift.
They were addressing a views-sharing meeting organised for them business community leaders with the executives and officials of different private sector commercial banks by RCCI at its Board Room in the city on Tuesday afternoon.RCCI President Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu presided over the meeting.Senior Vice-president of RCCI Moztoba Hossain Ripan delivered welcome speech and called upon the private sector bankers for creating young
and efficient entrepreneurs and extending adequate cooperation for flourishing industries, trade, commerce and business.RCCI Directors Rabindra Prasad Bablu, Fazlul Haque, Reaz Shaheed Suman, Mamunur Rashid Mamun, Enamul Haque Sohel and Rabiul Islam Mridul narrated the prevailing problems being faced by the businessmen and entrepreneurs in the banking sector.They called upon the officials and executives of the private sector
banks for putting more emphasis on finding out real and efficient entrepreneurs than on ensuring security deposits while disbursing loans for flourishing industries, trade and business activities.General Secretary of Rangpur Bankers’ Association, Vice-president of Rangpur Branch of National Bank Limited and its Manager Atoar Rahman Sarker, Vice-president of Rangpur Branch of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and its Manager Rezaul Islam, Assistant Vice-president of Rangpur Branch of City Bank Limited and its Manager Sarwar Sayeed Ahmed and Senior Vice-president of Rangpur Branch of Mutual Trust Bank Limited Iftekhar Hassan addressed the meeting on behalf of the bankers.  They said the private sector commercial banks have been looking for the real efficient and good entrepreneurs for investments with a view to expand industrialisation, trade and business activities to accelerate the pace of overall socioeconomic development.The private sector commercial banks would disburse loans among the entrepreneurs for setting up of the agro-based industries, they said and asked the RCCI leaders to assist them in creating efficient entrepreneurs and encouraging the male and female youths for industrialisation in Rangpur region.  The RCCI President highly lauded contribution of the business community people and bankers in
