Efforts on for further expansion of Dhaka-Delhi ties: Pranab

Dhaka – Indian President Pranab Mukherjee has said India attaches highest importance to its relations with Bangladesh and the Indian government is determined to further strengthen the relations, unb news agency reported.
“Our efforts are there to further expand this cooperation to include new vistas of cooperation and also to reintegrate the economies of the region, particularly with India’s North East,” he said.The Indian President said this when Health Minister Mohammed Nasim and Environment and Forests Minister Anwar Hossain Manju met him at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on Tuesday.
The President told the ministers that the year 2015 was a historic year in Bangladesh-India relations as it witnessed implementation of the Land Boundary Agreement, according to Press Information Bureau of India.
Reciprocating the President’s sentiments, the Bangladesh ministers said relations have never been as good as they are today.
There is a huge mindset change in both countries and the younger generation is now in the forefront, which bodes well for the future, they said.
