Bangladesh Loko Sangeet Parishad honoured eight eminent citizens who received Ekushey Padak in 2018 at the event which was held at Music and Dance Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Segunbagicha in the city. They honoured Sheikh Sadi Khan, Sujoy Sham, Indra Mohan Rajbanshi, Khurshid Alam, Minu Haque, Motiul Haque Khan, Ilias Kanchan and others.Ekushey Padak and Independence Day Award recipient and founder director general of Bangladesh National Museum musicologist Dr Enamul Haque and World Intellectual Property Organisation consultant Abdul Hannan were present as guests at the programme.
Besides, singers of Bangladesh Loko Sangeet Parishad rendered songs composed by Ekushey Padak recipient Indra Mohan Rajbanshi which was recently held at Music and Dance Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Segunbagicha in the city.
The singers presented two group and 16 solo songs at the show.
Bangladesh Loko Sangeet Parishad artistes rendered songs like Asol Shaddu Hoila Mon Hoilire Nokol O Go Tonar Mao, Amar Dhukkher Din, Moner Majhe Moner Manush and others at the programme.
