Emirates announces third daily flight to Moscow

Dubai carrier Emirates has announced plans for a third daily service to Moscow’s Domodedovo airport from October.
The addition on October 25 will be operated by a 777-300ER with 310 economy class seats, 42 business class seats and eight first class seats.
It adds to the carrier’s current A380 and Boeing 777-300ER flights to Domodedovo and a daily service to St Petersburg.

The announcement comes following a 106 per cent surge in Russian arrivals to Dubai in the first quarter after the UAE eased visa restrictions in early 2017.
Emirates also recently expanded a codeshare partnership with with Russia’s S7 Airlines to include flights from Domodedovo to Abakan, Bryansk, Lipetsk, Mirny, Murmansk, Penza, Petrozavodsk and Saransk and from St Petersburg to Kaliningrad.
An expansion to Domodedovo’s international terminal is due to open this month.
EK174 will leave Moscow at 10:40am and arrive in Dubai at 4:55pm. Return fight EK173 will leave Dubai at 3:30am and arrive in Moscow at 7:50am.
Several other UAE carriers have launched new routes to Russia in recent months including Air Arabia and Flydubai. –ME website
