England opt to bowl first against West Indies

Dhaka – England have won the toss on Friday against West Indies and opted to bowl first in their fourth game in the ongoing ICC Men’s World Cup at The Rose Bowl, Southampton.
England captain Eoin Morgan said the broadcaster that there is moisture on the wicket because it was under the cover for last 24 hours, and this is why they decided to bowl first.
“We are going to bowl first. The wicket has been under covers for the last 24 hours. There has been a lot of rain around and we feel there would be some moisture on it. A completely different challenge that we had against Bangladesh. The World Cup is about adapting to conditions. This match is a tough challenge for us,” Morgan told the broadcaster while performing the toss.
West Indian captain Jason Holder, on the other hand, also said he would have loved to bowl first as well.
“Now, we have the opportunity to get some runs first. Probably would have wanted to bowl first on a fresh wicket. We have planned well for this game and we are up for it,” Jason told the broadcaster.
Before this match, England played three matches and won two of them and lost one. In contrast, West Indies also played three games and won one of them and lost one with other game was washed out due to rain.
