England U19 to start Bangladesh campaign with maiden T20I Sunday

Dhaka – Touring England Under-19 Cricket team will start their Bangladesh campaign with lone Youth T20I against Bangladesh on Sunday at Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in the country’s tourist town of Cox’s Bazar.
This will be first international T20 match among any two youths team of International Cricket Council (ICC) member countries.
The English youth team arrived here last Sunday on a month-long tour to Bangladesh to play a T20I, three-match ODI and two-match four-day series.
After reaching Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 12 noon, the English cricketers left Dhaka for Cox’s Bazar in the afternoon.
The three-match ODI series will be held on January 29, 31 and February 2, at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium.
Then the visiting team will travel to Chattogram on February 4 to play two four-day matches on February 7-10 and 15-18 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
The team will leave for home on February 19.
Earlier on Saturday, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-member Bangladesh U-19 squad for the home series against touring England with right-handed batsman-cum-wicketkeeper Akbar Ali as captain and left-handed batsman Shamim Hossain as the vice-captain.
